Above you'll see a quick peek at the main screen of OptionBrowser V5. You can totally customize the screen layout, colors used, fonts, what have you... Just to give you a quick rundown of the main function buttons, you have: Create a new stock symbol list, open an existing stock symbol list for maintenance, copy the report to the clipboard for Excel, adjust commissions, adjust the risk-free interest rate, specify stock symbol list storage areas, specify HTTP timeouts, specify error handling procedures, set foreground color, set background color, specify musical alerts, specify fonts, adjust font larger, adjust font smaller, maintain lists of importable URLs, maintain lists of research sites, setup covered call display, setup put display, setup butterfly display, setup collar display, setup credit spread display, setup debit spread display, setup time spread display, setup straddle display, start the Interactive Trade Explorer, start the Options Pricing Calculator, start the Options Decay Calculator and Help. You can find screen shots of most or all of these screens on this site and two of the most frequently used screens below:

Above you see a tabular details screen that appears whenever you double-click a trade in the main screen. The details screens always show options bought and options sold, the net debit (or credit) as well as an adjustable profit and loss table. From this screen (or from the main screen) you can click on the Interactive Trade Explorer button and dynamically analyze how this trade will behave at certain points in time or at certain implied volatility levels in the future. You can add or adjust hedges either with shares of stock or more options. You can model anything with as many as five different legs of the trade.

Above you see the Interactive Trade Explorer, new with Version 5 of OptionBrowser. You can see that we are modelling the GM time spread that originally starts out 2.6 deltas long so we get neutral by shorting the two shares and initiate this trade with delta and gamma practically flat. Simply waving your mouse through the graph produces overall and individual leg values in real-time. You can also see from the graph that we have chosen to model three different implied volatility levels: No change, +40% and -40%, which are depicted by the red, green and blue lines. We have chosen to model these for September 19, 2003. You can just as easily model a single volatility level with three different dates in the future. Note the small controls on the left and right of the position summary (upper left quadrant of the window): You can adjust position size up and down and with the little checkboxes on the right-hand side you can eliminate each particular leg from consideration or reactivate it with a single mouse-click.

Please explore our site and read more about the OptionBrowser and what it can do for you.
